1. The Service

CodePastes lets you upload code and text and share it by link. The Service is provided without accounts: you manage your pastes with the per-paste owner token issued when you create them.

2. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you paste. You are solely responsible for it: you confirm you have the right to share it, and you accept that anyone with the link (or, for public pastes, anyone browsing the archive) may view, copy, and redistribute it. Do not paste content you are not allowed to share.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

• · Post content that is illegal, infringing, or otherwise unlawful in your jurisdiction
• · Distribute malware, exploits, or material designed to harm systems or people
• · Share credentials, tokens, or private data that isn't yours to share
• · Harass, dox, or defame individuals
• · Use the Service to evade platform or network bans, or to host phishing content
• · Abuse the site with excessive automated traffic

We may remove content that violates these terms, and we may disable access for repeat abusers, at our discretion and without notice.

4. Expiry and deletion

Pastes with an expiry are deleted automatically when they expire. Burn-after-read pastes are deleted after the first successful view. You can delete your own pastes at any time with the owner token; we can't restore deleted or expired pastes, so back up anything important. We may also delete pastes without notice if required by law or to protect the Service.

5. Privacy

Our handling of your data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. Notably, password-protected pastes are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and the password is never stored - if you lose it, the content is unrecoverable.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied - including warranties of availability, accuracy, or that pastes will be retained. We don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data won't be lost. Don't use CodePastes as your only copy of anything that matters.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodePastes shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service - even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, or remove content, for conduct we believe violates these terms or harms the Service, with or without notice.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, with a revised "last updated" date. Material changes will be flagged on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
