About CodePastes
A modern pastebin built for developers. Paste code, share a link - done in two seconds.
What we do
CodePastes is a code-sharing service. Drop in a file or paste a snippet, and we hand you a shareable link - optionally with an expiration date, a burn-after-read guarantee, or password encryption. It started from a simple frustration: sharing code shouldn't require an account, a login, or a wall of ads. So we built the pastebin we wanted to use, and we keep it lean on purpose.

What we believe
Private by default
Pastes start as unlisted - invisible to the archive and search engines until you hand out the link. What you share is shared with exactly who you choose.
No accounts, no tracking
No signup wall, no analytics, no ads, no third-party trackers. Every paste gets an owner token so you can delete it later - anonymity without losing control.
Built for developers
Server-side syntax highlighting across 100+ languages, multi-file pastes, and shortcuts that respect your muscle memory.
How it works
Pastes are stored as individual records and rendered server-side - syntax highlighting is applied before the page ever reaches your browser, so reading a paste is fast and terminal-like. Password-protected pastes are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your password: we store ciphertext, you hold the key. Expired pastes are deleted on first miss, and burning pastes delete themselves after a single view.
There are no user accounts. Ownership is proven with a per-paste token returned when you create a paste - keep it if you ever want to delete or manage it later.
